Most apps for running a household want a monthly fee and an account in someone else’s cloud. The Pi Personal Assistant is a private organizer that runs on a small Raspberry Pi computer at home. You pay for it once, and what you put in stays on the device. Getting started takes about 15 minutes.
What it does today
Your day at a glance. It opens on today’s agenda and what’s coming up. Appointments, tasks and repeats like “every 12 hours” all go on one calendar.
Shopping that learns. Type in a grocery receipt and it prints a shopping list of what you’re probably running low on.
Your money in one register. A check register for every bank and fund account, a one-click “where the money goes” report, your net worth, statement import, and what your funds are worth today.
Passwords, locked away. Website passwords are kept in a vault, encrypted behind your owner password.
My Health. Write down your readings, compare them with the limits your doctor gave you, see the trend, and print a one-page summary for your visit. It keeps the record; it doesn’t give medical advice.
People, places and property. Your contacts, the places you deal with and a property file, with a name finder and import from a spreadsheet.
Easy backup. When you log out, it offers to copy everything to a flash drive.
